We will walk along the old paths, tracks and sidewalks marked by the wheels of rural ox carts. We will visit the villages of Bobal, Anta, Assureira and Pioledo. These towns are part of a group of vernacular villages on the slopes of the Serra do Alvão. On this route we will walk part of the Way of Saint James on the Via Lusitania. As we pass through the villages, we will see a variety of granaries, also called canastro, caniço or hôrreo, which are usually made of stone and wood and were essentially used for drying corn.
