Check-in can be done from 16h00 (Portuguese time).
It will be done in self check-in mode. To get there, just follow the signs for Quinta do Fundo in any navigation app (Google maps, Waze or other).
When you arrive, after parking in the park, duly marked from the entrance to the property, follow the reception signs, marked from the exit of the park.
Inside a wooden chest you will find a locker labeled with the name of the house you are staying in. Simply enter the code to remove the key.
Follow the instructions of the respective accommodation.

Check-out must be done by 11:00. Whenever possible and upon prior request we will try to provide the possibility of late check out until 2pm. Keys should be kept in the wooden box at reception.

Wi-Fi coverage is available in all accommodation and leisure areas. Access is free.
There are internet sockets and USB sockets in the bedrooms and living rooms.

The accommodation features a TV with various cable channels.
In Casa da Quinta there is a sound bar connected to the TV and to which equipment can be connected via Bluetooth (LG S75Q).

Quinta do Fundo has private security which includes a daily nightly round and is completed by closing the main gate manually.
The gate can be opened manually at any time.

The swimming pool is available at any time. Water disinfection is salt-based. The filters work automatically. The depth of the pool is 1.20 meters in the shallow end and 2.0 meters in the deep end.
PLEASE NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE IN THE POOL.
Pool towels are available in each accommodation. There is a clothesline next to the parking lot, which can be used to dry towels and clothes.

Breakfast is included in the daily rate on a self-catering basis. Breakfast products from the region are available daily in the kitchen of the accommodation. Fresh bread is delivered daily in the morning around 9:00. The baker leaves the bread in the reception area in the bag labeled with the name of the House.

A daily housekeeping service (excluding kitchen) is included in the rate. On Sundays this service is not available. Bed linen and towels are changed every 3 days. This service is done in the late morning by the Quinta’s employee, D. Graça.

The maintenance of the vineyards and gardens is carried out by Mr. M. M. Jorge, we appreciate your understanding for any inconvenience this may cause. The property has 1.6 hectares that you can explore freely, with due care. In the orchard area you can pick the seasonal fruit that is available.

All accommodation rooms are air-conditioned and managed automatically for an optimal comfort environment. These can and should be switched off at the remote control (wall-mounted at Casa da Quinta and hand-held at Casas da Eira/Levada) when not needed or when windows/doors are open.

Quinta do Fundo has automatically managed outdoor lighting. The control panel for these lights is located in the technical room on Floor 0 (next to the laundry room).

Gastronomy is one of the good arguments that Mondim de Basto has to offer. We recommend three restaurants (among others) that we frequent regularly and where, in addition to traditional dishes, you will always have friendly people available to serve you. The references are: Sete Condes, Casa do Lago and Casa da Caínha.
We recommend the grilled maronesas meats on the first, the roasts on the second and the octopus on the third.

The vineyard and, consequently, the wine is another of the products of excellence in Mondim de Basto. The green wines of the Basto region have long ceased to be those less recognized and lower quality wines, which even left marks of their acidity in the stomach. Nowadays, vinho verde, and more specifically Basto wine, is an exclusive drink of great delicacy, given its lightness and complexity of aromas. Our references (among others) go to Quinta de Santa Eulália, Quinta D’Ònega, Carneiro Family and Quinta da Raza, which although located in Celorico, is, given its proximity, almost as if it were from here. For the first we recommend the “Plainas” label (an unbeatable entry-level), for the second clearly the red, for the third the “Luz” and for the fourth the fantastic Azal.

Mondim de Basto has gained relevance and notoriety in nature tourism. The famous Fisgas de Ermelo, the interesting and refreshing Piocas de Cima and de Baixo and the Monte Farinha (well known from the Volta a Portugal) stand out as visiting cards. Recently the Chamber registered the “Caminhos das Levadas” which, like Madeira, are works of enormous beauty and tranquillity. And being our levadas the oldest and those that served as a reference not only regarding their purpose, but also regarding their construction, since it was the Mondinenses masters who contributed with their knowledge in the construction of the famous Levadas of Madeira, they are a point of reference still somewhat unknown but with enormous margin for progression. We then refer to four of the various companies that are dedicated to walking, cycling, quad biking and even paragliding: Pé na Terra, Por Trilhos, Vertical Dream and Clube Parapente de Basto.
Believe me it is well worth it!!!
