The vineyard and, consequently, the wine is another of the products of excellence in Mondim de Basto. The green wines of the Basto region have long ceased to be those less recognized and lower quality wines, which even left marks of their acidity in the stomach. Nowadays, vinho verde, and more specifically Basto wine, is an exclusive drink of great delicacy, given its lightness and complexity of aromas. Our references (among others) go to Quinta de Santa Eulália, Quinta D’Ònega, Carneiro Family and Quinta da Raza, which although located in Celorico, is, given its proximity, almost as if it were from here. For the first we recommend the “Plainas” label (an unbeatable entry-level), for the second clearly the red, for the third the “Luz” and for the fourth the fantastic Azal.
